The aim of my project is a research of psychological aspects of human self-perception with regard
to their appearance in the era of all-consuming social networks where the evaluation of external
looks happens consistently and therefore self-perception is subject to regular change.
The way we see ourselves is considerably dependent on other people. Formation of self-esteem
is influenced by many factors. Quite often we let other people’s thoughts pass through ourselves
and sometimes even accept them unconditionally. That leads to changes in our self-perception.
We all consider the reception of our appearance differently but what will happen if a person is faced to himself.
In my project, I asked people to make an identikit of them. While performing this task a person was going
through a lot of emotions. He experienced anger, joy and even found the process funny. To many of them
it was very difficult to portray themselves, and in the end they were unhappy with the outcome... For all of them
the work on the identikit was a kind of psychological training which resulted in psychological reflection for everyone.
